Sessions run about 40 minutes. We block a full hour so nothing feels rushed.

View your photos from home and pick your favorites. Use your $150 gift card toward prints and digital files. Artwork starts at $345 after your gift card is applied, and most clients spend $500–$1,500.

I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. Then at 16, I discovered photography and knew that was my passion. Combining my love of pets and photography is what brings me joy. Making images that tug at your heartstrings and make you laugh out loud is my superpower.
When I'm not working, you'll find me at the beach, painting watercolors, or bingeing my latest show. And yes, I love cake: lemon, chocolate, carrot, all of it.

Where is the studio located?
We're in historic Point Richmond, right off Hwy 580 near the Richmond Bridge, at 121 Park Place. Afterward, grab lunch or stroll the waterfront.
Do you photograph pets other than dogs?
Yes! We also photograph cats, bunnies, and other pets. Reach out to ask about your complimentary session.
What's included in a session?
Every session includes a pre-shoot chat, a 45–60 minute studio session, and full photo editing. Extra retouching costs a bit more. You choose digital files, prints, or wall art.
How far in advance should I book?
We're usually booked 3–6 weeks out, but cancellations happen. Reach out anytime, or check our calendar.
What if my pet gets distracted or won't settle?
No worries! I'm patient and playful. If we need a break or a game of fetch, we'll do it.
Can I bring other people?
Yes! Bring anyone special to your pet. There's a $35 fee for more than 3 pets or 5 people.
Do you charge a session fee?
Normally, yes. Our fee is $500 and includes a $150 gift card. For this offer, the fee is waived and you still get the full gift card.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a $99 non-refundable deposit holds your date. Since your session fee is already waived for this offer, that deposit goes entirely toward your purchase.
What's the catch? Why is this complimentary?
This is how I find my people. A handful of times each month, I open a small number of complimentary spots for pet parents I'd genuinely love to work with. I waive my $500 session fee entirely, give you a full studio session, and include your $150 gift card toward your artwork. You become part of the Chickpea family. I get to show the world what real love looks like. That is the whole deal.

Many clients are surprised how moved they feel seeing their portraits. Our guided process makes choosing easy, even if you love more than one. Payment plans are available.
Do I have to place my order when I see my proofs?
Yes, we ask decision makers to be there so we can perfect the crop and color together. We offer fine art prints, metal and canvas pieces, acrylics, and digital files.
I hate having my photo taken. Help!
You're not alone, and you're in for a nice surprise. Every portrait gets my full attention. Retouching is included free for collections over $1,000. I'll use posing and light that's flattering and still feels like you.
